Service Project

A service project I did last summer was helping out at the Salvation Army in the daycare center. I helped with the 3 year old class. They were all so adorable and hilarious. They were pretty wild though. One thing I did for their class was make a "garage" out of cardboard for their bikes and toys for outside when they had recess. It was fun. Now I am helping my dad with this Sunday school/Bible study thing

My Invention

I would invent a robot that would do ALL the house hold chores. It would do laundry, the dishes, sweep, mop, make the beds, clean the bathroom, dust, make dinner, take out the trash and take the pets out side. It would come in all colors to match your house or just to be you favorite color. If I had one it would be pink nad yellow becasue those are my favorite colors. They would be sold in any department store and I guess they would be kind of expensive because of all the things they do.

Easter Break

For Easter Break I am going down to my grandparents house in Chester. Chester is a little town in Southern Illinois. It has the only Wal-Mart that doesn't have automatic doors. It does have a McDonnald's and a Hardee's but I don't eat at either of those places because they are dicusting. Not just in Chester but everywhere in general. I wouldn't want to eat at those places anyway because my grandma is an excelent cook and she makes all my favorite dishes. My g-rents have a farm there where my grandpa grows tomatoes, strawberries, corn, sugar snap peas, cantalopes, and raspberries. I go there during the summer and help out and drive a tractor and all kinds of farmy things. I will be driving my cousin Morgan around because she doesn't get her license until January so we apparently are going to go cruising around. It will be fun.

Lent

I think Lent is going very well for me. I gave up those coffee things at lunch, Ms. Matterelli's cookies and the frozen yogurt that are sold at our school. Every once and a while I am tempted by the cookies but I have done a good job of resisting I think. I don't much like Lent and dread it before it comes but once it's here it doesn't really affect me much. I don't much like fasting because I love to eat. That is always the hard part of Lent for me. Anyway Lent is almost over so I can become addicted to Ms. Matterelli's cookies once more!!!! I can't wait!!!!

Inspirational Us

My friend Allison and I are SOOOOOO inspiring. This is because of our loverly and photogenic faces. I mean, come on, just look at us. How can you not be inspired by that? 

St. Patty's Day

St. Patrick's Day is going to be exciting this year because the day before I will have gotten my license!!!!! YAYAYAY!!! I'm super excited. I love St. Patty's Day because 1. we get out of school for that day and 2. I love to wear green. I like getting out of shool for this holiday because it gives us a chance to go to the parade and hang with our Irish families. I like wearing green because everyone tells me it makes my eyes pop. But besides that green is just a lovely color. I am just a tad Irish so my family doesn't really do anything for St. Patrick's Day. Sometimes we go to the parade and sometimes we just stay at home and chillax. Well...

McFly

I am going to talk about my favorite British band McFly. They are so awesome! Their songs are very upbeat and fun to listen to. My fave member of the band is Dougie. He is the bass player and he also sings. He is also very cute to add to the mix. Danny is one of the lead singers and he plays guitar. Tom is the other lead singer and he plays guitar as well. Then Harry is the drummer and he is a really good one two. I sorta play the drums and this guy is amazing what he can do. Here is a picture of the band.

Things I Want To Do

There are a lot of things I want to do before I die. One thing is to go sky diving. I have never been afraid of heights so I think it would be a fun thing to do. Another things is I want to travel to Europe and live there for a time. I want to see the 7 Wonders of the World as well. I would like to see Phantom of the Opera live because that is one of my all time favorite plays the the movie was AWESOME!! I love Gerard Butler. Anyway so some other things I would like to do is go scuba diving because I have never been. I would like to visit New York City and go on a huge shopping spree there. There are many things I want to do someday but these are just a few. I could think of any more at the moment so yep.

My Friend Allison Gottwald

My friend Allison is kinda weird. She likes to wear lotion that smells like old people. Crazy I know. Any who we are pretty good friends. She is a crazy loon but I guess that is why we get along so well. We laugh at each other a lot and get into all kinds of trouble for talking when we aren't supposed to like in American Lit. We have a ton of inside jokes that no one understands. We are two peas in a pod I must say. <3

Computer Projects

My favorite computer project was the lyrics one. It was pretty awesome. I can't wait until we actually put the music to the lyrics and present it. My least favorite projects were the movie release dates and the SAT score one. They were totally complicated. I like the name project though. I like putting music to things. This class is awesome. I like it WAY better than Speech. The class as a whole is a lot easier than Speech. I am totally excited about the iMovie we get to do. I am also looking forward to other future projects. Computer Class ROCKS!! <3

The Sixth Sense

I DO NOT like scary movies. This includes "The Sixth Sense". There are a couple scenes that especially FREAK me out every once in a while. One specific scene is when the kid is peeing and the temperature goes down on the little thermostat because there is a DEAD lady in his kitchen!!!!!!!!!!! Last year after I saw this movie, I was in bed and I couldn't get to sleep because I was totally FREAKED out because of this movie. I had to pee really bad but I was afraid to get out of bed because of the previously mentioned scene. I was afraid that if I got up to pee I would see a DEAD LADY in MY kitchen as I walked through. This scene also scared me because I was thirsty but decided not to risk getting up because of the possible DEAD LADY in my kitchen. Also, another scene that scared me was when the mom poisons the little girl and the kid who sees dead people, looks under the bed and sees the dead girl. On this same night I was going to listen to my CD player but all my CDs were under my bed. I did not want to get them incase there was DEAD GIRL under my bed. As you can see, this movie has traumatized me for life. Here is a small sampling of what I am talking about. SCARY STUFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Baby Brother

This is my baby brother. Isn't he cute? He lets me do all kinds of things to him like put clips in his hair and carry him in my purse and he also lets me put socks on his head like in this picture. He calls me Vannah and blows me kisses and other cute things like that. I think in this picture he looks like one of the 7 dwarfs from Snow White. I think he would be Dopey. He always puts a smile on my face and he is a good little brother, one any older sister would wish to have.

The Worst Valentine's Day Memory

My worst Valentine's Day memory was when Allison and I got in a big fight when we were 8 years old. It happened because we both had a crush on my neighbor, Paul, who was our age. I was really excited because I had made him a hand-made card and Allison was coming over to hang out. She showed me the card that she had made for him and I was freaking out because she made him a card and I couldn't give him mine. She couldn't like him because he was MINE!!! But when we went over to his house, it ended up he didn't like either of us!!! We were upset at the time but now we are over him and friends again. Mrs. Brown, I am going to comment on Libby Brost and Meredith Lohr.

Academy Awards

I am pretty pleased with to nominations for the Academy Awards. I have seen all the nominations for the animated movies. They were all very cute. I also own Dark Knight so I am happy that was nominated for a lot of things. I was also happy to see that Heath Ledger was nominated for supporting role in The Dark Knight. He was amazing in that movie. I thought Mamma Mia should have been nominated because that was a great movie. Mrs. Brown I am going to post a comment on Libby Brost and Meredith Lohr.

Spiritual Goal

My spiritual goal is to volunteer more. I help with my dad's Bible study that he does every Sunday. Volunteering is a good way to spread the love of God. When I volunteer, I feel really good because I have helped someone in need. I also will try to go to church more often. I hope to reach this goal soon so I can help others see what God has done for us. Also I hope that through volunteering and going to church more often, others will want to volunteer and help those in need.

Inaugural Events

Two weeks ago history was made when Mr. Obama was elected as our first African American President. I hope things go well for him. I am not very excited about some of the plans he has and intends to carry out. Like last week when he sent our tax money to fund abortion to foreign countries. That is not what I want my taxes going towards. Also this whole thing about making all hospitals perform abortions is just outrageous. Mrs. Brown I am going to comment of Meredith's blog.

I have many favorite movies. My favorite Disney movie is Sleeping Beauty. My favorite horror movie is Prom Night. My favorite comedy movie is Strange Brew. My favorite suspense movie is Red Eye. My favorite tear jerker is The Notebook. My favorite action movie is Dark Knight. My favorite musical is The Phantom of the Opera. P.E.

In P.E. this week the girls have been doing all kinds of exercise videos. On Monday we did 8 Minute Abs and Tae-Bo. The 8 Minute Abs was quite painful and my neck hurt all week because of it. Then we did Tae-Bo and that was pretty wild. It also hurt a little bit but not as much as The 8 Minute Abs. Then on Tuesday we did Turbo Jam. That was hard because they throw in all kinds of crazy movements like the Wheel and the W. Then we also did Turbo Jam on Wednesday. Then today we played Dodge Ball and that is not one of my favorite things to play because I always end up getting hurt. Oh well.

Heyy

Hey my name is Savannah and I am so proud of myself for figuring out this whole mac thingy. I have many nicknames like Vannah, Vannah Jane and Savannah Jane. I have a feeling this is going to be a GREAT semester because I am not in Speech. The Macs are kinda hard to figure out but after a while you get used to all the different buttons in the different spots. It kinda throws me off sometimes but oh well. It is a pretty fun class and I am looking forward to learning more about the Macs and doing different projects.
